The Desoto Inn

This was easily the best stay at a hotel I’ve ever had. The experience was paradise!! The location is perfect, steps away from the private beach, and I could have just stayed in the garden all day. Not only were the rooms clean, they had everything you need, a whole kitchenette, beach towels. There were also several books to borrow, as well as medications, sunscreen, aloe and other toiletries, available at all times. I loved how it was eco friendly, and they provided beach chairs, beach umbrellas and coolers, as well as bikes and helmets. I was able to easily ride down to Hollywood Boardwalk, and enjoy a day on the beach with everything I couldn’t bring on the plane with me. The accommodations alone were outstanding but the staff was the best part of the stay for me. Veronica, the manager, was so welcoming and kind and showed me everything I needed to know. She watched my stuff for me as I headed to the beach, and told me she would cal me when my room was ready, and that if I needed anything, I could just give her a call or text. She and the rest of the staff were so sweet, and if I ever find myself heading down to South Florida again, I will absolutely be staying here.

Super clean, safe and private. This stay is a rare find because it is meticulously restored keeping all the old fashion charm but was incredibly clean and provided super hot gas powered water that never ran out! This inn is located in a secluded part of dania beach where there is no public parking which means it's super private! Takes about 2 minutes of walking to access beach which was crystal clear! The inn itself was stocked with more than we could ever need. Finally the check in experience was perfect! They texted me a private code and bam we were in...no need to walk into a super bright and public front desk to check in. Instead we had a totally private and convenient check in experience. I stayed with my husband and kids and had an amazing time! Highly recommend and we will definitely be back. A perfect stay.

This place is phenomenal!! The gentleman that was there running the hotel was one of the nicest people. He went well above to make sure my boyfriend and I had a great experience. He gave us soap when I didn’t have any for laundry and even washed our car when he noticed it had a film on it from our travels!! The room was comfortable and the garden area was great for us to enjoy our dinners and morning coffee. It was very clean and cozy. The bikes were complimentary and we could use them at our convenience. I can’t say enough great things about this place and the people that work there!! The location is perfect for what we wanted. Just close enough to the attractions of the city but far enough to be peaceful and serene. Stay here and you won’t be disappointed. We will definitely be back! Thank you for a fabulous vacation!

There’s a lot to love here… The grounds at the Desoto are a joy to experience. Most locations along the beach are just a place to sleep, but not here. I looked forward to getting up early and checking out the sunrise on the beach that was a 30 second walk from my room. Then come back and enjoy a couple cups of coffee (provided) in the gardens. We had the a “studio” room that had a small kitchen. Nothing extraordinary about the room but it served it’s purpose. The beach is literally right around the corner from the property. The beach itself is very small and like a lot of the beaches in the area, covered in seaweed. There are some beautiful state parks right up the road (north) that have gorgeous beaches you can visit. Travel a coupe miles south of the property and you’ll find all the restaurants and crowds. The Desoto is perfectly placed outside of the insanity, but close enough if you want to join in.

Very pleasant and accommodating hotel just up the street from a public beach area. Our room had a queen sized bed, a little kitchen nook with a stove top, microwave, sink, and fridge with a freezer. Plenty of extra towels and a comfy fleece blanket.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Desoto Inn! Just steps from the beach, yet quiet and peaceful, it’s the perfect spot to relax. The garden is beautiful and full of charm, and the free bike rentals were a great way to explore the boardwalk. Christian, the host, is fantastic friendly, helpful, and truly cares about making your stay special. The whole staff was welcoming and attentive. Our room was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. If you’re looking for a hidden gem in Hollywood, this is it. We’ll definitely be back!

The Desoto inns was EXACTLY what we needed after evacuating from Milton. The first hotel we went to we found bed bugs and a narcotic pill and smelled terribly. We’re a family of 5 with a disabled 3 year old. We were able to get a last minute open king suite with a pull out sofa. Just walking into the property was a relief. The room was clean and there was no smell. The kitchen was perfect and there was enough room for us all not to feel like we were ontop of each other. The outdoor area is so beautiful and our kiddos loved the picnic area. The distance to the beautiful beach with not too many people was the cherry on top. Plenty of towels and linens. There was an umbrella in the room and beach chairs to use. The gentleman who takes care of bookings was BEYOND helpful and honestly we’d go back just for him! The amount of stress we were under before coming to The desoto inns was ridiculous but from the moment we booked it was lifted tremendously! If you’re looking for a quieter part of the beach, safe, nature, and a clean spot to stay with your family this is the place! We will definitely be back and are letting all our friends and family know. We cannot thank you enough for the understanding and service you gave. Literally a hidden Gem!
